Who am I?
My full name is Johanna Carolina van Leeuwen, but you can call me Nikki. I know, strange right?
After growing up surrounded by greenhouses, flowers and windmills (yes, really), I dedicated my student years learning all about psychology. Once the master’s degree arrived, I set off to travel and soon after I discovered my love for languages. One thing led to another and before I could say ‘cheese’ (sorry, still Dutch), I happily spent most of my days writing and translating.
What do I do?
Yes, as a Dutch translator I basically transform caffeine into words.
I translate English texts into Dutch and make them flow as if they were the original. I also write articles, blog posts and marketing texts that are engaging and well-organized.
Extra attention is paid to accuracy, cultural references and the tone of voice. Your texts may be serious and formal, or perhaps light and whimsy.
It is never so much about what we write, but rather how we write it.
My final goal is to create something that you’ll love.
